Towns & bases

These are the German towns and the US installations around Ramstein / Kaiserslautern. Bases are listed first. Under Towns, tap a town pill to show only that town’s notes underneath. Use the Google Maps and Apple Maps buttons under each place name.

Bases

These are the US installations people mean when they say they work on this side of Germany. Pins below drop you on the installation, not on a random town with the same name.

Ramstein Air Base

Google Maps Apple Maps Wikipedia

The main flying base for the KMC, next to the German town of Ramstein-Miesenbach. Living in that town is not the same as living on base. See Ramstein-Miesenbach for the German town. The base is huge, with grocery stores and a mall, so everyday shopping is on base. Getting through the gate can take a long time.

Landstuhl Regional Medical Center
